We came together in celebration last December to create a Heaven on Earth, a temporary space that expressed the omnipresent love and authentic connection of the NYC Burner community while benefitting efforts supporting the growth of Participatory Culture in New York City. It was an awesome blossoming of creativity, collaboration, and love that could only spring forth from this unique community.
GRATITUDE IS A FUNDRAISER! Over the last two years we have donated $6000.00 to Figment NYC, $2500.00 to Dance Parade New York, $1000.00 to BRAF, and a variety of independent NYC Arts collectives. This year we are also raising money for Hurricane Sandy Relief, and seeking nominations for worthy relief organizations to donate to. Please comment with suggestions (Occupy Sandy and Burners Without Borders are already on our list).
